rebuilding rack

I think you posted about wanting to do this Rob. I bought a kit back
in 97 with all the doodads thinking I would attempt to rebuild the
rack. The kit was ~90CND. After seeing all the parts involved (there
are a LOT), and having time limitations, I took the rack over to a
local who I trust to do it for me. After all was said and done I think
it cost just over $200CND. I posted about this I think around spring
of 98 and got dissed for not putting in stainless steel sleeves, your
fix ain't gonna last, should have done it right, get a proper rebuild
next time, etc. The sleeves were not oval on the original rack and
it's still going strong. 'Course now that I've said this, something
else is gonna break :) I can probably dig up the p/n for the parts kit
but likely someone local to you will know. So to answer the question,
it can be done for your time and about ~60-70USD if the kit is still
available.

YMMV of course.
