ATF to quiet lifters?

I put in half a quart of ATF about every 15000 miles on my car.  I never have 
lifter noise on either of my cars.  It's detergent properties gives it the 
ability to clean things out really good and it's high flash point allows most 
of it to burn off and then you just add oil in to replace what burnt off.  I 
usually just throw it in right before an oil change (100) miles or so and 
change the oil to get all the crap that it cleaned up out.  I wouldn't use 
anything with silicone in it because you run a very high risk of 
contamination of the very very very expensive OXS sensor.  No more than half 
a quart because the detergent level is so high.  IMO it works very well in 
keeping the engine clean.
