Although there might be nothing obviously wrong in your suspension, your situation sounds like you might have worn upper strut mount bushings.  i've noticed on the various sets of SP8000's I've had that the outer edge wears tremendously fast if the pressure is too low, but you said it was 40 psi, so that shouldn't be an issue.
