True, and if this system is like the VW's of the time, (and I don't see why it
would be different) then there are 2 pressure sensors. A high pressure (near oil
filter flange) and a low pressure (usually on cylinder head). If the high
pressure switch goes off, then the light _and_ buzzer go off. If the low
pressure switch goes off, then only the light will flash. BTW, both switches
trigger if the pressure is _below_ their range.

You're probably fine. Accelerated wear on the cam bearings would be my guess.
Most likely minimal, if at all.
