Dennis,
where are you located? I am in NJ  and ~ in a week I am going to have the gauge
for SP pressure test. I have similar problem - little assist, better when turning
left then right. Happened after I replaced noisy and leaky high pressue hose from
SP to bomb. Steering rack does not leak or humm.  Suspects:  rack'  valves,
SP(steering part).
