And you could crush the plastic in seconds. I can't imagine that a 
small thin piece of plastic could possibly cause any damage inside 
the engine. Besides, pulling the IM on the car isn't without risks of 
its own. You could goof up the gasket on reinstall, and have to do it 
over, for example.
