The heater. The other two wires supply a heater that gets the oxs up
to temp quicker, and, in some applications, gets it up to temp at
all. This would be important if the oxs wasn't close enough to the
EM, or if something (like a turbo) was reducing the exhaust temp a
bit. In general, unless you're in desperate straits, use the correct
3 wire unit. A good 1 wire would be better than a dead 3 wire
though...
