My 1987 5000 csqattro sedan needs new front rotors and pads.  It just had the master cyclinder eplaced, and my mechanic tells me that the rotor and pads are worn very thin and will need replacement soon.  If he got the stuff, it would be stock material (he told me he uses ATE pads).  I want to use this opportunity to improve the braking capabilities of the car.  I dont do any autocrossing or racing, just a lot of driving on expressways.  I would like to draw on your experiences.  FYI, the current rotor has lasted me 80k miles, and had to be turned several times because it seemed to warp very easily.  I read some stuff about cryogenic treatment... would it help for street driving as well ?
