Rough Idle - Failed Emissions - 92 100CSQ V6 - UPDATE

Reran codes with engine running per 12V site.  Now flashes long 1 then 2-4-1-1 and repeats.  So, I guess the code is 2411 (12V site indicates that is the code for EGR system or EGR temp sensor).  The fact that it has high HC at idle would seem to indicate the EGR valve is stuck partially open???  Any way to check that other than removal?  Any removal/cleaning suggestions?  Looks like pipe, elect connection, and two bolts.  Doesn't look like a problem unless the bolts are prone to twist off.  TIA.
