Coolant in the oil

Seems to me we got a particularly successful compound from our regular
radiator sublet guy. Made specifically for emulsifying the oil and water to
correct this problem. Takes a bit of work, but we used it successfully
without even using hot water. If there's an oil/coolant intercooler, I'd
make sure the problem wasn't there, and go for it. Usually the big problem
is water in the oil, not the other way around, because the oil pressure is
higher than the cooling system pressure. If it's as bad as it is
sdescribed, maybe run some really hot water through it first, then do the
emulsifier, clear water, then something like commercial floor soap, then
more clear water. There may not even be any bearing damage, and a good
engine flush out would be in order here. I've cleaned systems of both motor
oil and ATF, and it's not that big a deal. Labor intensive, but there's a
good chance of success. HTH, John
