Type-44 16" wheel fitment.

Folks,

I know this topic comes up all too often, but there's a lot of conflicting
info.  I'm considering a set of ATP S5 wheels for my 1990 200q.
I know stock fitment is 15x6" ET-45mm with a 205/60-R15 tire.

The ATP's are 16x6.5" and ET-39mm. I was planning to mount 205/55-R16's.

I remember reading here some are running A4 16x7 Et-45mm 5-spokers. And
have noticed clearence problems with the tierods.

Will the ATP's narrower wheel clear? Or is the positive offset too much?
