Funny you should mention.. My 5k purged most of its oil while exiting the
parts store parking lot at lunch today - rather quickly too I might add. I
was wondering why it became so easy to lock up the right front wheel all of
the sudden, then the red beacon of death started flashing accompanied by an
oil pressure gauge quickly trending towards zero.. Quick u-turn, killed the
ignition and rolled into a parking spot. Turns out the oil line popped off
at the fitting but I might have a spare in the trunk somewhere with the
other "leftover" parts.
Odd thing is that the cooler and lines didn't look any worse than most of
the other underhood components when I gave the car a once over last week....
hmmm.
