Jim,

Thanks for the advice. I'm afraid the worst has now happened: having left the
front right bolt soaking in Plus Gas ('dismantling lubricant') for the past
week, I had another go at it this afternoon and the captive nut the bolt
screws in to has now freed itself. Turning the bolt results in graunching
noises and I am unable to slacken or tighten it any further... I've had a
close look at the chassis leg in which this nut and it looks as though there
is a central 'diaphragm' between the top and bottom flanges and the offending
nut appears to be on the inboard side of this. It looks as though I will have
to use an angle grinder or a plasma cutter to cut holes in the outboard side
of the chassis leg and diaphragm to gain access to the nut. Any advice you or
anyone can give before I start attacking this important structural area of my
pride and joy?

Thanks very much,

Paul Johns
