Michelin man hose ripped

I heard a psssssh-sound when driving with boost today, and a sound
like a dump valve when shifting. Investigated, and just as I expected,
the MM hose was ripped on the underside, about 1" long. It stays shut
until the boost pressure opens it. 

I need a replacement, but the Audi part is $$$, and I'm thinking of
installing a turbo bypass valve, as found on the 20v engines. Then the
MM hose is not very good suited, as it's impossible to tap into. Is
there any silicone hoses that can be made to fit? The tear-shaped
throttle body would be the big problem here - I imagine no other cars
use that shape...
