This isn't really my second post; more like my second thread.
However.
It appears that I shall be buying the '86 5000 cs turbo that i previously
mentioned.
One problem.
The turbo has 174,000 miles on it. Even though it works fine now, i can't
imagine that it'll last too much longer (especially not the way i drive).
I've scoured the internet for resources on rebuilding the turbo and can't
find anything pertinent.
My question being thus:
Can I concievably rebuild the turbo by myself? (i.e. - is it difficult to
do?) My local Audi pimp told me that rebuilding it would just be a matter
of getting a $22 bearing kit and replacing them. I can't get ahold of him
at the moment and i desparately need to know if this will likely be all I
need, where i can get them (or any and all parts that i'll need to do
this deed) AND IF I SHOULD EVEN UNDERTAKE THIS MYSELF.
thanks in advance,
shawn
