Did you do a Google search on the Audifans.com website?  Asking about a 
turbo rebuild returns more than a thousand responses, SOME of which must 
deal with doing it yourself.   From what I recall of postings I've read 
hear regarding turbo rebuilds, DIY jobs are possible as long as the turbo 
housing and fan are not deteriorated:  ie. if it means replacing the 
bearings and seals.
