MC Wastegate Springs Ordered

Well finally, there's good news and bad news :-)
The good news is I've placed an order with the spring company for
more of the MC engine wastegate springs. They were able to find
the order and exact specs from 1995! That's better than I could do.
The (sorta) bad news is they want a bit more money, like everything
else 5 years later. This order of springs is going to cost me about
$600 out of pocket.
Considering the last batch of 100 springs lasted 5 years, I think I'm
going to have a pile of MC wastegate springs left after the last Audi
with an MC engine rusts into small parts. :-/
To have any chance of getting my money back out of this {altruistic}
project, I'm going to charge $35/spring which will include shipping.
That's up from the $20/spring I charged last time, but I don't know
how many will really get sold. Remember the part about I'd like to
recoup most of my money. After I've sold 20 or so, I may drop the
price.
These springs will raise a MC engine boost from 1.3 bar to 1.6 - 1.7 bar.
The springs should be manufactured in 3 or 4 weeks. I have several people
who have asked for a spring, and I'll email each of them directly. If you
want one and don't get another email from me, send me another email.
If you send me your postal address I will ship a spring and instructions
as soon as I get them. You can send me a check for $35 after you receive
the spring.
If I recall correctly from earlier orders, this spring will also work on
the earlier UrQuattro coupe engine. I don't recall the before & after boost
levels though. Maybe someone who has done this can add a note on that.
Any questions, you are welcome to email me.
