Would you trust your life to a car with a history of dodgy electrics, when 
you know these electrics now make decisions over your safety? I recently 
drove an Alfa 156, and there were still a couple of strange 
electrical/electronic problems. And that was on a brand-new dealer demo...
Seeing the tests of the 156, 166 and the new 147, I'm not the only one 
noticing that things go wrong.

PS On a more Audi-related note- has anyone driven the new Multitronic yet? 
I'm very interested in how this unit performs...
