If there are any listers out there who are getting more into their Audi's
and have reached the point where they need q digital automotive multi-meter
for diagnostics and engine set-up, I have a couple available for sale. They
are the CP7678 meter often recommended on this list for having the right
features and an inexpensive price, and the CP7680 which is an upgraded
version, which adds some AC voltage capability, a temp probe, and a
inductive pickup for reading RPM from a spark plug wire.
I'm asking $55 for the CP7678 (one is used in good condition, the other was
a store display model I bought) and $80 for the CP7680(new in box), shipped
UPSP within the US. Other shipping arrangements can be made as well. Drop
me a line if you're in need of a meter.

Subject: [urq] Duty cycle meter..........
Mike, I have a digital automotive multi-meter that I bought on
sale at Sears a few years ago for about $85.00. Autoranging, temp,
rpm,duty-cycle etc. Compares to my Fluke 88, for a lot less $.
However, a simple and cheap analog tach and dwell meter is a better
choice for DC measurements (IMHO). You can watch the needle "swing"
and average the reading (45 deg. = 50%) on 4cyl scale. Sunpro
Engine Analyzer Model CP7675 cost me $12.00 on sale. Flea markets
are a good source, usually $5/10 for tach/dwellmeters.
This is an old archive post:

Anyone in need of an inexpensive analog dwell meter, for measuring duty
cycle, can find one here under the "Garage Sale" heading. $12.00 and it
also works as a basic volt/ohm meter as well. Analog meters are much
easier to use for duty cycle readings (IMHO) since you can watch the
needle swing through the range. CP7675 Sunpro Engine Analyzer.
I just checked the Actron site @:
http://www.actron.com/cgi-bin/web_store.cgi?page=cp7675.htm&cart_id=6723632_
13169
and the garage sale section lists the tester at $5.00.
