another Dead head, 88 90q

I just bought a 88 90q that had been extremely overheated. Tho I don't need
to specify the drivers sex and don't want to appear predjudice, I wont,
however; it seems that I can mention the drivers age w/o retaliation.
The 19yr old driver was driving up a long hill and didn't notice it was
overheating. They continued to drive it untill it quit, so it has been very
baked. The engine cranks over with no compression and puffs out the
radiator.
I have quite a bit of mechanical experiance and am curious to what others
have seen on audi's put through this abuse. I do not have the time to
disassemble for at least a couple of months.

I know the headgasket is shot
I suspect the head is warped beyond machining tolerances and possibly
cracked.
upon disassembly I will check for scored cylinders as well as possibly
warped block.
I suspect that the rings have lost their tempor and will be replaced if I
try to save the block.
I will be keeping the car as the wife has already claimed it as hers.

Due to luck, I have bought another 88 90q with accident damage a few weeks
earlier.
One master plan I am considering is to pull the engine out to the crashed
one and quickly fix the other.
Then when I find parts and am able to fix the crashed one, put a MC engine
in it. I already have a spare MC.
This would have the advantage of having a fixed car ASAP

Is there any other things that I should be concerned about on this
overheated engine
