A/C r12 stop leak-good stuff, btdt !!!!

I sounds too good to be true but I'd still like to try it.  First, I have a 
couple of questions.  Where was your leak?  Both of my type 44s appear to 
have slight leaks at the compressor outlet that I can't fix without dumping 
the system.  A recharge in the spring will keep them going for a year.  I 
have a 30# R-12 tank that I bought several years ago before the price went 
sky high so its not a real cost issue or inconvenience, but I do like 
permanent solutions.  It sounds like you have more than average experience 
with AC systems.  Should I wait until my leaks get worse or would you do it 
now?
