ECC fan problem..

There CAN be electrical contact problems both at the point power connects
to the fan motor at the back of the motor bulge molded into the heater core
box and at the point the fan control sensor is plugged into its wiring
harness on top of the evaporator box. Check and clean all those wiring
connectors. More commonly, it's the brushes worn out on the fan motor (you
can expose one of those by taking off the rubbery tube that takes air from
the squirrel cage housing to the motor housing and use a small screwdriver
to push on the brush--they may keep it going till you can service/replace
it) or the bearings/bushings the fan motor's shaft turns in.
