Yes? Maybe? My 90Q seems to like the heat just fine. if your lifters
are leaking down, though, the valves aren't opening properly and that
might matter - but you will hear the nasty ticking...

well there you go. Now... there is a *different* oil filter called out
for the NG engine, same one that some of the turbo engines use - but I
know at least some parts stores will simply sell you the one that goes
on most I5's. They do look different inside, but I have not cut one of
each open yet to see how or why... this might matter. You are using
good German filters? I'm sure you are... they have the anti-drainback
valve to keep the oil in the lifters.

as pointed out, new injector seals ought to help. they dry out. but
try to find any other leakies first in case there is something else.

inner door panels, glove box, trunk liner, massive hunks of iron used in
the PROCONTEN system (bolted to floor boards and transmission), all AC
parts of course and then maybe the aux radiator, brake vacuum pump, move
battery to trunk, sunroof & motor!, all speakers and radio, power window
regs though manuals may be tough to find, power lock pump & widgets, ABS
unit if it is at all flaky.

take it out and throw in a lightweight doggie basket mattress pad.
