Speaker Recommendations

Put the components in the front where YOU can hear them! What's the
point of spending all that money on rear component speakers and then
having the crappy front speakers drown them out? I put a 6-speaker
Infinity Kappa system in my 4kq. I got all of those speakers at nearly
half price, and from the other speakers I listened to, there's nothing
that compares for the money. If those don't do it for you, check out
Boston Acoustics; they rock!

Subject: Speaker Recommendations

I know that there will be many varying opinions on this, but I'd
love
some general direction since car stereo isn't something I pay particular
attention to. I will soon be installing most the stereo system from my
80
into the 90q20v, Alpine head unit, 6 CD changer, and an ADS Powerplate 4
channel amplifier. I had Eclipse 6 1/2" and 4" coaxial speakers in my
80,
but they were not happy and I wasn't completely pleased with them even
from
the beginning. This time I'd like to do components in the rear deck and
for
now coaxial speakers up front.

Any suggestions for high quality speakers, not outrageously
expensive
speakers, but a good sound to value ratio? Maybe $80-100 for the front
and
$200-250 for the rear components. I dislike speakers with a really
harsh
high end, a nice smooth speaker will suit me well. The amplifier is a
4x40watt, not exceedingly high power. Though the amp was the best
upgrade
to the stereo I ever made, what a difference in sound quality.

Good ole exciting Saturday night, sigh...

Thanks!
