On the other hand there is a product called X-14, another additive. I have not tried it personally but probably will soon. This product apparently is a direct offshot from the Space program. Its a lubricant that was developed to protect the high wear, temp, pressure areas on the Shuttle crawler. This is the vehicle that moves the Shuttle from the hanger to the launch pad. I've seen it written up in NASA tech news as one of the their highlighted products and also in either Time or Newsweek as a offshoot of the space program. I supposed it does have some legitimacy about it considering the sources I've listed. Has anyone tried the product yet??

The fact remains that the makers/marketers were absolutely unable to
convince the federal courts that any of the claims they made for their
product had any merit whatsoever, and were unable to produce a single
scientific test (by the true definition of such a test) to substantiate
those claims. Because of that failure to prove the claims, an advertizing
injunction was issued and it went all the way down to the retail level. The
rather lengthy text of that injunction is somewhere on the net. I've lost
the address, but it's out there somewhere. John
