Don, for a brief period in the '80's I had a partial
sponser who supplied me with all the Slick 50 I
wanted.
I used it in everything from lawnmowers to
motorcycles.
In the racing engines it was a mixed blessing---the
few engines that were somewhat "tight" showed the most
improvement, but if everything was "perfect" no change
was evident (difficult to improve on perfection).
My '81 Honda Gold Wing ---absolutely NO changes.
My '77 Dodge 360---applied at 96,000 miles, stopped
using oil until around 300,000 miles, no other
changes???
'37 Buick---no changes.
'30 Ford---coolant temp dropped 15 degrees average.
'59 Nash Metropolitan---no change.
'67 Lotus---Idle speed changed slightly higher.
'91 Dodge Cummins---no change, but I am tempted to try
it again in this truck.(it takes 2 quarts)
'95 LHS---no change.
I am not makeing any reccommendations ,one way or the
other, here, just presenting my personal experiences.
Slick 50 has MIL specs. and is FAA certified (last I
looked) so apparently it must (?) work, if you trust
our gov't. testing (?).
We put this stuff in our engines with the same gusto
that we buy Lotto tickets (someone in San Jose won
$141 Million last night)!!!
Ya just gotta do yer thang here, bud.
Rod
