Hello,

Does anyone here have any used springs for a 5kcstq they want to
get rid of? I need with one rear, both rears, or a full set if they need
to stay together. Ideally, I'd like to find some free or cheap ones.

My right rear corner sags, and I'd like to have a known good one to
put in when I replace the struts.

I'm leaning (no pun intended) towards the idea of not lowering the
car yet, but replacing the worn struts.

I picked up a huge rock on the freeway that pretty much smashed
my windshield. That's an expense that I'll need to offset by not
putting springs on it for a while. I want to try to find a windshield
replacement outfit that wont cost $900. Maybe if it's not through
insurance, which it will be, it would be cheaper. It's strange that I
think the outside layer did not break, but flexed in enough from the
impact to put a big star on the inside layer.

I have a good windshield in my 5kt donor car. I know these things
are glued in incredibly well. I'm toying with the idea of buying the
trade tool used for removing windshields. In the archives, there's
reference to a power windshield removal saw device called an
Equalizer. http://www.equalizer.com. At about $600, it may be
cheaper than paying for a new windshield, if I can manage to
remove it. But then I'd be faced with the installation.

I've already got the car and the windshield, so it seems worth it for
me to try. The windshield isn't going to be worth any more to me if
it's permanently attached to a gutted turbo motor donor.

Thanks for any leads on the springs.

Ken
