Hmmmm. There should be two, totally separate buzzer systems - one is
associated with the oil pressure warning, you should get the light with
that one as well.
The other is the "key-in-door-open & maybe lights on as well" system.
The handbrake should not have any buzzers associated with it, just a
dash light.
The signals should be totally independent of these systems!
Solution? Get an 85-on fusebox with connectors and 8-12" wire on each,
mount it under the hood and throw away the thing that passes for a
fusebox under the dash.
Less elegant solution... struggle with your meter and bentley and try to
locate the shorts, melted connectors, and any cross wiring under your
dash.
As I recall, my '82 fusebox has a few ugly "route-arounds" spliced in to
make up for age and inadequacy. Reminds me of a few other things in my
life!
