Sheared Timing Pin - How to get out?

Does anyone have a sure fire method of extracting the sheared off timing
pin from the flywheel of an '87 5000 CD/CS Turbo Quattro?

I have removed the flywheel, but the pin is down in the hole and very
hard. Drill made no impression. I don't want to ruin the flywheel, given
the price of Audi parts :-)
