Pilot Bearing

    I was also confused by this too Huw.  You said you have the same type of
pilot as my FWD 80, but I have seen the TYP89 quattro flywheel and it has
the flywheel mounted pilot, like I mentioned at MtW.  Weird that yours has
the crank mounted pilot bearing.  Maybe you have a special car?

    I went into US family pictures and the picture of the crank style pilot
bearing lists as no info for the 80/90q.  The one that clips in is listed as
a part number for the 80/90q.  Strange...
