The thing is, did you ever take the oil pan off of a car running motor
oil that was changed at regular intervals?

Also, bike chains don't ever get up to the temps of car engines, nor do
they seem the same type of chemical atmosphere. Pressures MAY be similar.
Not sure there is any way to equate this.

How often does washing off oil in the rain affect your engine?
