slow list traffic and a contest

A couple of people have emailed me asking if there is a problem, as list
traffic seems to be down.  My usual reply is "no, it's summer."  I
suspect the economy may be a factor too though, as many of us are
spending more time at work or trying to brush up on our skills preparing
for a possible layoff or company shutdown.

Heck, I'm not even driving an Audi right now, though I still own one of
course. :)

To get things going, how about a new discussion with the subject line of
"why I drive an Audi."  Include in your message any information you like
about vehicles owned, likes/dislikes, things you would like to see from
Audi in a new vehicle today.  If you don't own a new Audi (say 1997+)
tell us why.

I will select from the best posts and put them up on the website, and a
small prize will be awarded to the best overall "story" posted by August
31st.
