I found the fill plug. You have to take the underbody guard off to find it.
The plug was covered with crud and I couldn't see it. Not sure why Audi
made it so difficult to do a simple maintenance check.

Thanks to Eyvind and Duncan. Eyvind was correct in his assessment of "Check
just rear of the passenger side (US) axle flange. If your flange
seal is leaking, there is a possibility that oil and dirt has made a
mess that covers the plug..

Duncan's suggestion was where I was at at the time. "What if you stand your
car on it's nose, and then use the middle plug...
This should work as a rough approximation...
