Why I drive an Audi

When I was 15 in high school, I saw juniors and seniors driving around with
hot cars. All I knew was that I wanted a loud stereo, chrome rims and
window tint on what ever car I got. At 16 when I got my licence I got my
Moms accord handed down to me. This was just as the rice scene was starting
to heat up. I looked around on the web and saw other Honda boys and decided
I was gonna build a awsome car out of this sohc auto accord. I came to my
sences and firgured out it wasn't going anywhere fast. So I set out to find
a GSR. I was looking at one at a VW dealer and it was next to a GTI VR6. I
had never realy cared to know about a GTI before. A guy about 25 was
looking at the GTI and the salesman fired it up. Gurbbel burrble burrble.
Ooo whats going on with that car. He pops the hood and all i see is engine.
Sweet. 3 days later I drove the VR6 home. I learned all about the VW
scene through the GTI VR6 list, and got the Honda flamed out of me. About a
year and a half later I slid into a telephone pole in a snow storm and
rolled over :( I found a realy nice Corrado VR6 with 35k miles on it for
$11k. Drove that for 8 months then my insurance spiked at $5k a year (!!!).
Sold the corrado for a profit and bought a 91 GTI 16v. Started with ~138hp
and now its got 172 and will outrun ITRs, VR6s, and pulled a 14.8 at 92.3mph. I
still got the 16v but its close to sale. But I was lookingh for a nice VW
or maybe a 328 or something along those lines to be fun to drive, as
reliable as a German car can be and cheep on insurance. I was flipping
through the local Auto Guide and saw a 95 90 Quattro for $11.5k with 75k
miles. Drove it, knew it was what I was looking for and bought it. Now
after about a month its going to be very hard for me to own another fwd car
:)
