When I first started the car, after sitting for a few years, and after
removing the clogged catalytic convertor, it ran fine at idle and 2k rpm.
I added some fuel injector cleaner to the fuel in the tank, to help with
the fact that the fuel had sat this long in the tank, and let that sit
about a month, while I was checking none engine items on the car. When I
restarted the car, I blew the fan resistor, since it was old and cracked.
Also, the fuel pump relay went open. After about two weeks, I replaced
these items and restarted the car. I had a condition that the car was
running rich at idle (would run better at higher rpm,2k, but still wanting
to act like too much fuel). I have checked the cold start injector and the
main 5 injectors for spray pattern and stop of flow as per the manual. All
have a good cone shaped spray and do not drip after the fuel pump is
switched off at the same time that the air plate is released. When I
compare the amount of fuel in each of the five separate containers, # 1 & #
3 have about 85% of the amount in #'s 2, 4, & 5. Does this mean that I
have three injectors that are bad and sending more fuel than is required?
Are the injectors repairable or must they be replaced?
