It won't be a problem for a while yet, as every A8, no matter how bad,
seems to be marketable for parts. Someone posted a site in Cal. a while
back that had 9 or 10 of them available for salvage or parts. Most were
vandalized or flood damaged.
As for scraping Aluminum vehicles, the boneyards are already set up for
this, as they have decades of experience dealing with aluminum heads,
blocks, tranny cases etc. Not really that much involved in separating
steel, cast iron, brass (radiators), cats et.al. to maximize scrap value.
