does a 98 a6 avant share the same a/c programmer as type 44's?

i suspect my climate control problem ( recirc function inoperable and fresh
air enters cabin while driving w/ fan off) is realted to the a/c programmer.
does my 98 a6 avant have an a/c programmer like the type 44's (a black box
w/ vacuum hoses and a motor to the bottom right of the glove compartment)?
thanx in advance.  does anyone have a good used one for sale?
