sunroof motor question

If your lever is out of position, and by that I mean over the notch, not
sitting in the notch, then some previous idiot bent it.
It is possible to pull it out of the pin in which it is inserted, and then
try to straighten it so it can lock.
The motor units are pretty much common across most of the models (84-91
Pretty sure) so it's probably simpler to pick one up at a u-pull-it yard.
Those micro-switches are known to go bad.
