Hmmm, I just threw together a simple tool for removing those nasty metal
sheathed CA bushings with $5 worth of plumbing and a bolt...
Used a 2" close nipple and cap and a 3/4" coupling and plug.
drilled an 11/32" hole in the center of the 3/4" cap and tapped it out
to 10mm x 1.5
drilled about a 7/16" hole in the center of the 2" cap.
took a spare 6" or so 10mm bolt that used to hold a coupe panhard rod in
place and extended its threads by and inch or so.
assemble the two separate sides by screwing together the obvious
plumbing.
Grind off any burrs or mold marks on the 3/4" coupling (it is a very
close fit in the control arm)
put the bolt thru these things in order:
a couple of well oiled washers
the hole in in the 2" cap (and place the nipple against the outside of
the arm)
the old bushing (which has a 10mm hole in it)
the 3/4" coupling followed by the attached plug...
and the plug threads onto the bolt
snug the plug up agains the bushing by hand tightening the bolt, and
make sure it is inside the control arm metal all the way around.
then tighten the bolt (I used an impact wrench to make life easier)
until the bushing pops out!
I was surprised at how easy this was, the thing that makes it work is
that the common plumbing stuff just happens to fit nicely.
photos at eleven I suppose.
