that is very enlightening.

My 90Q exhibits soemthing similar (well, it doesn't with the fuse pulled
for safety!).

If the fuse is in, I am very likely to experience a rather scary
activation of the ABS on my first stop, even if it is straight line on
clean road.  Basically I get a whole lot less braking effectiveness. 
Then it turns off on its own usually, or will very shortly, sometimes
while simply going down the road.

Doing battle with the sensors has not been on my front burner, but
playing with a spare relay might be fun.
