Though I would rather have an un-reliable Audi over a reliable Honda I must
say when my wife was at Stanford she bought a '91 Honda Civic, basic as can
be with A/C and radio only. Drove the car for six years without a single
problem and now her dad uses it for work. That car has 160,000 miles (and
he is by far not easy on it) with the original clutch to boot! Only work
was new struts at 86,000 and brakes every 40,000 miles as they are pretty
weak to begin with. Two hit and run accidents and the car still squeaks
less than my Jeep!

Still, I hated that car as it was small, under-powered and everyone on the
block had one.... NOBODY near me has an Audi 200 and ever since Audi became
the rage again... a few A4/A6 owners not knowing about the car wished they
had an "classic" Audi! I'll spend ten used Honda Civic's before I consider
getting rid of my 200.
