Japanese cars/ Audi ,RE: Type $$ is testing me

My 84 4kq has been absolutely the most reliable car I can think of.
bought at ~130k (forget exact)
currently at ~280 (OK some odo probs)
valve cover and pan never been off, still on original clutch (will need
soon), only replaced one door handle.
Yes the car has had some repairs/maintance, but at this mileage I wouldn't
expect a Japanese car to be in nearly as good of condition.
  Today I replaced the windshield, not because of cracks or pits, just
because of so many tiny pits (sandblasting).   WOW the new one is so clear I
keep wanting to reach out and touch it to see if it is really there.  Got a
great price too $165.00  I wish I did this years ago.
