[urq] Blaupunkt TravelPilot RNS 149 in a Type 44

I've been trying to figure out where to get a Blaupunkt Travelpilot RGN 08
to go with my New York RDM 127 head unit which has a built in display
screen, but alas, it seems I won't find one in North America.  I guess I'll
have to order one from Europe, but I have yet to find a decent online store
from which I can order one at a competitive price.  It looks like the unit
is going to cost around USD 1500-2000, which doesn't strike me as cheap.
Unfortunately it seems that Blaupunkt no longer makes the RGN 08 so the
availability is poor.

Anyone have one in their basement that they are not using?  :-)

Has anyone BTDT?

I've just looked at the installation instructions.  The system needs to be
attached to the speedometer signal, the reversing lights,
and God knows what else.

Has anyone else already invented this wheel?
