This is for an A4/S4 but other Audi models are likely to be similar:
The side mirrors and the front windshield washer nozzles are heated as
long as the ignition is on (it's powered through via line 'X' of the
fuse relay panel, which is on when the ignition is on, but off when
starting the engine).
The heated door lock operates via a control unit. The ECU is powered
all the time (via line 30 in the fuse relay panel), but the heating
element is activated via a switch which is a part of the door pull
mechanism (You pull on the door pull flap and then the heat comes on
for a predetermined amount of time).
The heated seats are manually-operated via dial controls on the center
console.
The headlight washers are not heated.
