'89 100: alternator belt... gone!!

Unless you are recovering snapped belts from the street, I doubt
they are breaking.  They just roll out and jump off the pulleys.
BTDT with the alt. belt.  A metric Continental belt fixed my
problem, and I believe Napa has a lifetime warranty on their metric
belts.
