What's wrong w/ my center diff lock light?

Some odd behavior on my 87 5ktq. Used to be under acceleration only, the li=
ght would come on indicating a locked center diff. Now, I have a light flic=
kering all the time and coming on strongly under even moderate acceleration=
. I did the parking lot test and did confirm the lock to be working properl=
y in position 1. When I lock the center diff, the light goes on brighter, s=
o I know it's really locked. What gives? I have to assume that under the ha=
rd acceleration, with the lock off, but the light on, the diff is locked. O=
n the highway, after a lot of driving (without boost or power), the light w=
ill eventually go off, but come back on during boost and start the flickeri=
ng all over again. Rear lock works, no problem.

Pain in the ass. Also, the abs light and relay flicker in response to the d=
iff lock and sometimes I find myself with the abs in on mode (unsafe becaus=
e my abs doesn't work properly).
