I will never know why posting something implying an Anglo-Saxon word is in some way less offensive than using the word everyone
knows you mean.

A curious anomaly - in the Anglo-Saxon context, Germans don't swear.  That's to say - there are very few 'forbidden' words.  When
they curse, they use the normal vocabulary but can be very inventive.
