We disassembled and reassembled brendan's NF on a standard issue stand.
plenty of flexibility in the mounting arm arrangement, a few spare
tranny bolts and washers held it on nicely. certainly could take the
weight, since you could throw a big V8 on this thing.

That I can't address, although you could probably rig up a support like
that easily. The engine stand mounting arm comes off the stand "easily"
once the engine's weight is supported, so you could rig up a cradle,
jack it up under the engine mount arms, undo the engine stand and
measure away, then return it to the stand.
