Seems the thing to do now-adays (if you intend to make it to court or the
DA's office to make a deal) is NOT to ask for a supporting deposition,
you'll only piss off the cop. In NY at least, it seems that although you
can get the case dismissed if the depo is missing, apparently it's within
the rights of the DA to re-open the case if the cop insists upon it.
Remember, it's traffic, not criminal court.
