Bose radio "possessed"

I have the Bose CD setup in my '00 A6Q, and I've noticed that
sometimes it seems "possessed".

At first, I thought I was imagining things, but I have *definitely*
determined that it sometimes changes its tone controls (bass,
treble, midrange) on its own, and will even occasionally flick
stations or CD tracks up one. It sometimes seems to happen when
I start the car, although I've noticed it happen on the CD when
I'm just driving along.

This happens maybe once a month.

Anyone ever see anything like this? Do I need an exorcism?
A better ground strap? A new stereo?
